The Varsity Hotel Roof Terrace
Why visit:
This is one of my favourite bars not many Cambridge residents know about. It is located on the roof terrace of the Varsity Hotel and offers incredible views of the old city. Some evenings they do movie nights on their big outdoor projector screen. If you get cold, they will provide you with a blanket. Unfortunately the selection of drinks is pretty limited and the prices are high.a night option

This is one of the best bars for young professionals. Great selection of drinks and bar food. Excellent atmosphere despite it's pretty big size. Make your way to the balcony and enjoy the view.a night option

Why visit:
A more tradition English pub popular with students. Great warm atmosphere and friendly staff. A lot of students come here before starting their night out. Great selection of drinks at affordable prices.a night option

A legendary pub with a lot of history. This is where DNA was discovered. Make sure to keep an eye on the sealing. These graffiti were left by WW2 pilots prior to D-Day. The Eagle offer amazing traditional food and is very popular with Cambridge University students.a dinner,night option

Why visit:
This is by far the best night club in Cambridge. It offers two dance floors with separate DJs, a comfortable outdoor smoking area and tons of funky cocktails. It's best to experience Lola Lo's by booking your own private table in one of the comfortable sitting areas locate around the dance floor on the 1st floor. The service is amazing and it's a more upmarket club. So expect higher prices.a night option

The only real Spanish bar in Cambridge. Most people go there for the atmosphere and crazy dancing. It is open until very late in true Spanish fashion and is a great place to go to for an after party.a night option

This is one of the larger bars in Cambridge with multiple floors and themes. It has a large comfortable outdoor smoking areas with sofas and a separate bar. Revolution is popular with younger people and often gets very busy during weekends. They have a huge selection of drinks and vodka shots. They often have great discounts too. They also do food however it's not that great, unless you order a pizza.a night option

Finish off your night by having a legendary mixed kebab from the best takeaway in Cambridge. It is open late and it's the best place to get food after a night of clubbing. They do a great selection of Greek as well as traditional takeaway food.a night option

Why visit:
A recently refurbished night club with great deals on cocktails and comfortable sitting areas. On busy nights it might be a good idea to book a table in advance. With 6+ people coming it is actually cheaper to book VIP and get a queue jump as well as a table with complementary Champagne than paying to get in and buying your drinks at the bar. Give them a call a week in advance to see what they could offer you.a night option
