Why Go: Some of the permanent displays in the Roodepoort Museum include a a selection of decorative arts such as porcelain, from Royal Dux and Royal Doulton to Chinese, Japanese and Dutch items as well as local ceramics– a collection rarely seen elsewhere. Other items of note include art deco figurines, a 1699 Dutch family bible, and Pierneef, Walter Battiss and Maggie Laubscher paintings. By appointment only!
