Located at

Why Go: In front of the library in York Street, George there is an old English Oak tree that has given rise to many legends. In the trunk it has a lock and chain embedded. The fact that it was planted by a magistrate many years ago has caused some imaginations to run wild and today it is known as the Slave Tree. The tree is a national monument.
